Biography
By day, I am an architect at an architectural and engineering design firm located in Orange County. By night, I... pretty much go home, eat dinner, and lounge at my computer checking Facebook, the Twitterz, ESPN, YouTube, and other random time wasters.
I was born in Long Beach, California one fine May day1 in the middle of the 1980s. I called Long Beach my home for ten years until I moved to nearby Dairy Valley, which you might better know by its post-1967 name, the city of Cerritos. High school brought with it an abundance of studying, standardized testing, Advanced Placement exams, and plenty of stress about being a model student.2 But I managed to persevere, which earned me an acceptance into the University of Southern California3 under their Bachelors of Architecture program. Five grueling years in "archi-torture" ultimately manifested itself in my being hired by a prominent, local, sustainability-oriented architecture firm, for which I still work today.
In my free time, I love going to Disneyland,4 practicing photography,5 going to concerts, watching sports, hiking, eating good food, traveling, and generally keeping myself so busy that the term "rest" has become largely ineffectual. I love Halloween. I wait all year in anticipation of Knott's Scary Farm and Halloween Horror Nights and the myriad of other local haunt events,6 and I'm quite saddened when the season is over. Interestingly, I also love Christmas, as the most wonderful time of the year ranks a strong #2 in my favorite holidays list, due to warm and romantic spirit of the season.7
I enjoy long walks on the beach, getting caught in the rain, and serenading potential intendeds with moving ballads on the Spanish guitar. All of this is true except for the part where I hate walking on sand, get annoyed when any form of water gets on my glasses, and have zero musical instrument skill.8
If you've read this far, I salute you. You obviously are very interested in getting to know me. Either that or you are a potential stalker. That's okay too, I suppose, unless you plan on breaking certain state and federal laws as part of said stalking. In that case, I must assure you that I am not worth the trouble. That said, I hope you enjoy the blog! If you get tired of reading (doubtful if you're still paying attention here), just focus on the pretty pictures.
1 I actually have no idea what sort of a day it was, the day I was born, having been
completely indoors and away from exterior windows, but I'd like
to imagine it was nice.
2 Otherwise known as being Asian.
4 On average it works out to about once a week. At work, I'm "that guy."
5 Also "that guy."
6 Dark Harbor at Queen Mary, the Los Angeles Haunted Hay Ride, Sinister Pointe, The Empty Grave, and even a local home haunt named Higgins Manor in which I've actually participated... cheap plug.
7 Yes, this makes me an oddity.
8 Though I used to be decently good on drums in Rock Band.
