The Cannon and the Submarine

Disneyland Paris' version of Tomorrowland, called Discoveryland, is scenic, creative, timeless, and iconic. And two of my favorite features of this retro-futuristic land of a tomorrow that never occurred are at the far end of the area, where the Mysteries of the Nautilus and Space Mountain are situated.  Disneyland Paris' Space Mountain is unique in that it features a launched start, several inversions inside the structure, and a far more intense experience than the other Space Mountains of the world.  The launcher is the Columbiad, modeled after Jules Verne's comisc cannon that shot guests from the earth to the moon.  The Mysteries of the Nautilus is a walk-through attraction that puts guests in the middle of the Disney mid-century classic, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, where guests can encounter a giant squid and sea Captain Nemo's aquatic base of operations.  Together, they are evocative and photogenic, and I like this focused shot of the two of them juxtaposed against each other!
