Tomorrowland in Yesterland
Today's photo is from Tokyo Disneyland and is a fun anachronism. You see, this view can no longer be obtained, because the Space Mountain depicted is being replaced by a new, larger, and more advanced Space Mountain being constructed right behind it. In fact, before TDL's Space Mountain closed last year, its replacement building was already being structurally framed, making for the curious sight of two space mountains visible at one point in time. The replacement Space Mountain won't open until 2027, and the new ride building will feature a more organic form that still retains that recognizeable "mountain" outline. It will be exciting to see how this next generation Space turns out!
