Turning Red for the New Year
The Victorian facades that used to be part of Pacific Wharf before it became San Fransokyo Square are in a bit of a no-man's-land these days, because they don't really belong to any particular themed land, unless you count the leftover area titled "Performance Corridor" on the Disney maps as a themed land. But during the Lunar New Year Celebration, they are decorated with Chinese lanterns and prosperity red and tangerine trees to take on the spirit of the holiday. It makes sense, because San Francisco is one of the places known for its Chinese population. And though the actual city's Painted Ladies houses never get this cultural treatment, it's still cool to see the representation and the connection.
