The Caribbean Chapter

At Shanghai Disneyland, the crown jewel of the Treasure Cove themed land is its Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure attraction. This state of the art ride provides a new story and new technology for a beloved classic, utilizing a combination of physical sets, animatronics, and screen projections with a boat vehicle that can turn and position its facing to specific parts of each scene, similar to an Omnimover.  Outside, the ride's tropical setting is a stark contrast to the French ambiance in the American Disney parks.  But it makes sense that a ride about the Pirates of the Caribbean is set in a Caribbean-esque locale, and the exotic preamble is a taste of the excitement yet to come!
