Snakes in a Temple
Last week, I mentioned that to commemorate the Year of the Snake this Lunar New Year, I was choosing between FANTASMIC! photos and Indiana Jones Adventure photos. But since I had no good shots of the massive cobra in the latter attraction, I went with giant Kaa on Tom Sawyer Island.
Well, the statement is true, but I realized I do have photos of snakes from Indiana Jones. They're just part of the temple architecture. Be they on doors or part of archways or carved as sentinels overlooking the bridge, the Temple of the Forbidden Eye has a lot of serpent representation, which is definitely bad news for Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, since he hates snakes. Well, Dr. Jones is probably going to be uncomfortable this year, because the Year of the Snake will be lasting another 12 months until next Lunar New Year, February 17, 2026!
