A Legacy of Liberty

Today is Presidents Day, in honor of the great leaders that this country has had.  Officially timed to honor the February 22nd birthday of the first president of the United States, George Washington, it also honors Abraham Lincoln, whose February 12th birthday is also nearby (and equally nearby this year).  Formally, it is meant to celebrate all presidents of the U.S.A., but few would argue that Washington and Lincoln have always been at the top of the list and most revered.  These were great leaders who brought their countries together, lead against parties that promoted oppression, and carried the great weight of their country's future upon their shoulders.  Today, we celebrate their lasting and powerful legacy.

The Capitol Building is presented in detailed model form at the Main Street Opera House before guests enter the theater space for Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
