A Lantern Festival in France
I was flipping through old photos of Disneyland Paris and stumbled upon this shot of the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups in Fantasyland. During my last trip to the park, I tried to do a bit of a nighttime photo run, but as the park closes earlier than local parks here in California and does so right after the fireworks show, there isn't as much empty park time as American Disney park goers might be used to. Anyway, this shot called out to me because the floating lanterns felt like they were rising up into the air, ala the famous scene from Tangled. Colorful and luminous, they created an uplifiting composition. Now, if only I had maintained the patience to shoot this more cleanly from a tripod! But I was in a bit of a hurry to get as many nighttime captures as I could!
