Christmas in Bokeh

One of the things photographers really love is capturing depth of field by having a subject in focus and the backdrop out of focus to emphasize the said subject. When it's nighttime, and that background involves lights, a magical effect called bokeh, referring to out of focus light spots, can develop. Here, in this Main Street scene, the grand Christmas tree in Town Square has this effect, and it's a really fun visual texture that sets off the lamp post and wreath that is presented more sharply.  It's a detail photo that imbues the ambiance into the scene, and I think a nice way to say goodbye to the holiday season at Disneyland for this year, until November comes.

The Main Street Christmas tree looks wonderfully out of focus in its bokeh glory.
