Reflecting Back to Holidays Past

The photo below was one that I edited many years ago, but I never posted it because I wasn't quite happy with how the composite rendered in contrast and sharpness when I originally combined two exposures together. So I thought I'd take another stab at it, knowing what I do now about how to edit each photo and their combined set.  This time around, the colors looked more vibrant and natural than before, when my obsession with toning down the highlights created awkward-looking hazes and didn't strike as boldly as I usually like my photos.  It's kind of fun taking another shot at a photo from years ago, just to see how you might improve it.
