Last Sunday, I had the benefit and privilege of dining at Club 33. It was my first time there in seven years, and my wife's first time ever. But given that we were celebrating a milestone birthday for her, this seemed like a fitting place to celebrate.
As it so happened, Club 33 has been celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion this fall. Why they're celebrating that is normally not a huge milestone year is beyond me--maybe it's the connection to Disneyland's history, since 19"55" is a momentous year. Regardless, it was cool seeing the club with a bit of a spookier overlay, from the beautiful model of the Haunted Mansion facade outside in the Court of Angels to the concept artwork for the classic attraction framed in the main dining room inside. And with spooky season winding to an end (I know it's past October 31st, but many haunted attractions are still running this weekend), I felt like this was not a bad way to cap off another fantastic Halloween season!
