On the Lookout from the Stars

Before Monsters Inc.: Mike & Sulley to the Rescue, there was Superstar Limo, a very cheap (by Disney standards) and extremely corny and over-the-top dark ride through Hollywood and beyond.  This infamous ride was widely panned for its non-sensical storyline, poor theming, and overall bad quality, and one of the more iconically laughable moments featured an audio-animatronic of Drew Carey offering maps to the Hollywood stars while an unseen announcer voice uttered the (would have been viral if viral was a thing back then) line, "How about a map to YOUR house, Drew Carey!"

When the short-lived attraction was repurposed to a Pixar IP, the scenes and figures were naturally reused and given new appearances, so in the Monsters Inc. ride, Drew Carey has now become an employee of the Child Detection Agency.  And he pops out of a shrub as guests whiz by hollering to "Be on the lookout for THIS child!" in the same hokey tone that made the original scene so absurdly entertaining.  It's a bit of Disney Imagineer self-awareness, and it makes me laugh every time I ride this attraction.

Drew Carey hawking Hollywood maps to the stars is transformed into a CDA agent handing out pamphlets that warn people to be on the lookout for a human child in Monstropolis.
