A Tropical Bliss

On my last visit to the Aulani Resort, I tried to capture compositions that layered different elements in the foreground, midground, and background to create more dynamic and engaging photos that showed off the immersive beauty of this magnificent Disney property.  That meant angling for subjects that might lead the viewer's eyes across the scene and towards some place beyond.  I liked how this particular shot below turned out, because even though there's no necessarily any iconic immediate subject, the lighting and the path down to the beach and then the ocean in the distance imparts a sense of depth and warmth that takes me back to that particular scene.  Photos are often nostalgia, but some can imbue the emotion better than others.
