Signs of Pixar Fest

Although it's been going on since April, I haven't had a chance to photograph Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort until a couple of weeks ago.  I just haven't gotten to the parks early enough to nab the colorful daytime shots.  Also, truth be told, while this seasonal event is quaint, it doesn't interest me a ton (and for consistency, the last Pixar Fest in 2018 didn't really wow me either.  It's not that I don't care for Pixar--I actually enjoy their films a lot.  But the event hasn't carried the investment and oomph that some of the Disneyland Resort's bigger milestone year celebrations have held.

That said, this year's iteration has definitely improved upon its predecessor from 6 years ago on the theming department, with more elaborate and artistic displays, a feeling of higher quality, and more specific entertainment.  It also seems to focus on the newer Pixar films, for those who are fans.  Here are some photos of various bits of theming for the event across both parks.

The Pixar Fest display at Buena Vista Street looks pretty cool at sunset.

It's a good photo op throughout the day.

The bunting for Pixar Fest feels more luxuriant and higher quality this year.

I like the little medallions.

The artistic style of the banners are great too.

Cars Land has brought back the alternate, auto-themed movie posters. They're fantastic.

The Pixar Fest branding spills out onto the Esplanade between the parks as well.

And a giant Pixar Ball and display has popped up in the middle.

Kudos to the effort put into this Pixar Fest!

More lightpost decorations from Main Street.

Awwww, Boo!

Town Square has its own Pixar Fest photo op display too.

It's cute!
