Cruising Around Big Thunder
Frontierland at Disneyland Paris is a spectacular rendition of the Old West, and it combines three themes that adjoin each other at the original Disneyland--Frontierland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Rivers of America, and New Orlean's Square's Haunted Mansion. In France, though, Big Thunder Mountain sits as an island in the middle of the Rivers of the Far West, while Phantom Manor is on the shore to the side, at the end of Frontierland's Thunder Mesa town. The photo below is taken from this terminus, seeing the Molly Brown (in lieu of the Mark Twain) sailing counterclockwise (vs clockwise in Anaheim) around the waters. It's a verdant scene of wilderness and part of what makes Disneyland Paris the most beautiful Magic Kingdom!
