Shanghai's Season's Greetings
It's been seven years, and my stockpile is starting to dwindle, but I can still find some pretty photos from first and only trip to Shanghai Disneyland. That visit, which occurred during the holiday season, provided plenty of great photo fodder for holiday ambiance photos, which was a pleasant surprise, since I had assumed that China would not support a holiday display with relatively overt Western roots. But tourism appeal seemed to win out, and the Christmas decorations on Mickey Avenue and the towering Christmas tree in the Gardens of Imagination provided a lovely scene, especially after dark!
It's no surprise, then, that this centered, somewhat reflective moneyshot of two iconic features called to me. It's got a little bit of everything--flowers, a water feature, colorful lights, and a monumental park subject!
