Menacing Mara

For the longest time, I've wanted to get a sharp, crisp, well exposed photo of the intimidating, deteriorated face of Mara inside the middle of the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.  But I never really quite had the timing, fast lens, and capable camera body that would let me do it, and I was often loathe to wait in line for this popular attraction to get the shot.  However, a couple of months ago, I had a chance to capture one of my longtime dream shots at the end of the night.  And this time, I was able to make it happen.  

It doesn't hurt that the Indiana Jones Adventure has been recently renovated, so the lighting, effects, and overall theming has been refreshed and looks more vibrant than ever.  But a goal accomplished is a goal accomplished, and I'm glad I was finally able to get this shot that I've long pursued!
