Waiting Out the Mick-O-Lantern
These days, it seems like it's impossible to get an empty park shot on Main Street unless one stays well over an hour past closing and gets lucky that Disneyland's security guards don't usher people out before the scene clears. A decade ago, it wasn't quite as bad--there weren't dozens of guests effectively camping out, just waiting to be last. Things seemed to shift sometime during or after the Diamond anniversary, when social media started really coming into its own, and guests were looking to get those magical last memories captured to share online. It's probably why I don't stay super late to try to get shots like this (which still had people) anymore.
Or maybe I just need to come on a weekday!
