A Castle Through Enchanted Looking Glass

Most of the time, trying to get reflection shots of the Disney castle requires one to wait for rain to arrive and then visit the park to photograph--hopefully while it's not too drenching.  But in Shanghai Disneyland, reflections are everywhere, because the oversized Hub area of the park--the Gardens of Imagination--are filled with water elements that provide perfect mirrors at night from which to capture an extra dimension of the parks' massive and prominent architectural icon.  The mix of the still water, rolling greenery, and recognizable blue and pink color scheme of the castle make for a lovely photographic composition, so it's not surprise that I loaded up on such photos during my one and only trip to Shanghai Disneyland at the end of 2016!

The Enchanted Storybook Castle casts a lovely reflection in the ponds of the Gardens of Imagination.
