Paradise Days Past
Today's post is a major #ThrowbackThursday to nine years ago, back when Pixar Pier was still Paradise Pier, and California Screamin' still retained a blue and white color scheme and no Incredibles associations at all. I've posted photos from this day before, though it's been a while. This was one of the few times I've caught some dramatic, flashy skies at the Disneyland Resort, and I made sure to capture a lot of images for posterity. The scene below is a classic overlook of Paradise Bay, with the area's iconic skyline starting to be silhouetted against the blazing backdrop. Things have changed a lot in this part of the park over the past decade, but the basic elements have remained the same. And perhaps sometime soon, I can capture another set of fiery sky photos around here too!
