The Colors Ignite
When Shanghai Disneyland first opened six years ago, it included a nighttime castle / fireworks show called Ignite the Dream. Utilizing projections, fountains, and of course, pyrotechnics, the spectacular showcased a journey by Mickey Mouse through a series of Disney films and franchises, displaying how the power of dreams and imagination can spark an adventure anywhere. The show was later ported to Disneyland Paris under the name "Illuminations," and in Shanghai, it was eventually replaced by Illuminate! A Nighttime Celebration. But a lot of the original show's elements can still be found today, and it sort of represents the wondrous way that the diversity of the world can be brought together in childlike wonder.
A rainbow of colors foretells the dazzling spectacle that is to come in Ignite the Night. |
