Those Millennium Nights

It's been almost three years since Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened at Disneyland.  The largest expansion in park history and one filled with hype and fanfare, this land has proven to be quite a popular destination, especially for photographers looking to capture the beautiful nighttime splendor of Batuu.  And the most difficult scene to photograph with absolutely no other people is the moneyshot in front of the Millennium Falcon.  There seems to always be some manner of guests--often with lightsabers that wreck havoc on any clean long exposure--posing in front of the lifesize, iconic spacecraft.  But last week, when I swung by, I surprisingly didn't have to wait too long for the area to clear.  The offseason crowds probably had something to do with it, especially since the draw at the moment is the Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure, and I was happy to exercise relatively minimal patience to net this spectacular nighttime scene in the heart of the Black Spire Outpost.  And what a marvelous scene it was!
