The Monkey and the Monkey King

In Hong Kong Disneyland's Mystic Manor, the protagonist is Albert the monkey, the pet of Lord Henry Mystic and a curious scamp himself who accidentally releases magic from an enchanted music box that animates everything within Mystic Manor.  This causes a whirlwind of fun and adventurous events that grow increasingly out of control, until a finale showdown with another monkey--a representation of Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King.  In Chinese mythology, he is both a talented and fierce warrior and also a mischievous and arrogant character, which gives him some commonality to Albert.  In the Disney attraction, he seems more serious, though, standing in the center of a swirling maelstrom that threatens to take down the entire manor!

Fortunately, Albert is able to regain control before everything goes completely off the rails.  Maybe he'll learn his lesson and not tamper with mysterious artifacts.  Then again, next time, maybe not.

The Monkey King doesn't seem amused at Albert's mischievous deeds.

And about the end of the ride, Albert seem to be regretting them too!
