Peering at the Briar Patch
One thing I like about Tokyo Disneyland's Splash mountain (and Walt Disney World's as well) is how open the front of the ride, where the briar patch is located, is to guests passing by. At Disneyland, the area in front of both the turnaround at the beginning of the ride and the final drop is obscured by a tall fence, ostensibly to deter guests from climbing onto the rocks and into the water. But in Florida and Japan, no such barrier exists, so that means photos of the money shot are completely unobscured. This makes for an easy scene to capture--even better with no one in it except the actual log flume riders!
