Adventure Looming
I don't have a lot of photos of Shanghai Disneyland's Adventure Isle. In addition to not being to ride Roaring Rapids (which was closed) when I visited back in 2016, I also missed the challenge trails and spent a lot of my time riding the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, taking in the Enchanted Storybook Castle, and looking amazed at Shanghai's Tomorrowland. Needless to say, I'll have to make up stock on my next visit, but I do have a few pictures that I have not published before, including this somewhat moody angle of the water flanking Adventure Isle and the mighty peak that highlights this version of Adventureland. It's definitely unlike scenes at the other Disney parks, but then again, Shanghai's Magic Kingdom is supposed to be exactly that--a park that is "authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese."
Ominous and foreboding scenes away visitors to Adventure Isle. |
