A Touch of Vibrance
The past week saw a slight return to normalcy with the Touch of Disney event, allowing guests to enter and explore all of Disney California Adventure for the first time in over a year. Although I wasn't able to get tickets to the event, it was fun to see friends experiencing Disney joy, and it brings optimism to a full Resort reopening, which Disney recently confirmed for April 30th. Even then, I don't expect to be making a trip to the parks soon, since the 15% (or perhaps 25% if Orange County moves down from the red tier to the orange tier in California's COVID spread classifications) will still place a significant limit on the number of tickets available, while demand will remain overwhelmingly high. But I still have plenty of photos to work through to tide me over, and optimism that increasing vaccinations will get us to a broader point of regular operations too. So as we move into spring, here's to the return of hopes and dreams and pretty scenes like this afternoon saturation below.
