A Dragon Dance to the New Year

Happy Lunar New Year, friends!  Today marks the first day of the year of the Ox, and normally, I'd be celebrating it with a trip down to Disney California Adventure to enjoy another year of their Lunar New Year Celebration, which focuses on Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean culture and their festivities with the turn of the calendar.  This year, however, with COVID still very much a thing and the Southern California parks still shut down, I'll have to resort to photos and memories.  In this case, Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession is a fun hybrid parade and show that gives off some riling demonstrations and wonderful dance and martial artistry.  Full of energy and excitement, it's probably the most popular bit of seasonal entertainment at DCA during this time of year, and I particularly enjoy the dragon dance that highlights the procession and staged performance!
