The Castle's Purple Dawn
I'm not a morning person. Anyone who knows me will tell you that. Like, if I ever turn into a person who wakes up early on his own volition and sees the sunrise regularly, you can safely assume that I've been abducted by aliens and replaced by a surrogate, or perhaps some highly advanced android. But every once in a while, I do make a point to see the start of the morning. Sometimes, though, that's the result of staying up the entire night until the sun has begun to rise. So is the case of the photo below, taken from one of Disney's 24 Hour Days, and specifically the one that kicked off the park's 60th Anniversary Celebration six years ago. Catching the very start of the sunrise--even if the sun never completely showed up--was a wonderful scene, and taking in the changing skies over Sleeping Beauty Castle was an absolute joy. So yeah, I do get the people who appreciate getting up at the start of the day. There is certainly a beauty to that as well!
