A Small, Colorful World
These are trying times, with a variety of forces that bring conflict and disagreement, plus a still-raging global pandemic. But I hope that ultimately, we can get through the strife and remember our inter-connected humanity, as opposed to sectioning off into factions and sides and individualistic pursuits. It's a spirit that is captured by Disney's classic attraction, It's a Small World. Despite the (many would say) annoyingly catchy jingle, it nevertheless promotes a noble and worthy sentiment--the unity that we all share, and a value in diversity and togetherness. There's plenty of work left to make our world a better place, but I think it will need to be rooted in a foundation of togetherness and inclusion.
