I'm a few days late, but Sunday was the 1 year anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening at Disneyland. It seems like an eternity ago at this point, but that was the day that Disneyland made history with its biggest expansion ever and a vivid and transportive experience to the world of
Star Wars. Placing guests in a new planet never seen in the mythology before, Disney wove a new story arch bridging Episodes 8 and 9 of the movies and invited a few familiar characters to the scene too. Here's a look at the money shot of the land, that grand view at the Millennium Falcon with those amazing spires towering behind. Somewhere inside, Hondo Ohnaka is doing a totally-not-smuggling-job. But outside, it's a scene of peaceful magnificence.
