The colorful calypso hues of Mermaid Lagoon bring some splashy hues even at nighttime. Illuminated in shades purple and blue and teal, give a sense of being "under the sea," especially with the towering shapes of King Triton's castle marking the skyline. Up close, they look even more dramatic, and the statue/fountain where Ariel and Flounder seem to gaze up toward those underwater turrets evokes a lovely marine ambiance that is at once fun and serene. Maybe it is better--at least when you have Tokyo Disney Sea level theming!
