A new and invasive species has appeared on Batuu. No one knows where it came from, though locals suspect that it originated "off planet." After all, though the geology and biodiversity of Batuu is spectacular and diverse, no one has ever seen a strange, pink, blossoming tree on the planet--much less in the middle of Black Spire Outpost! There are tropical plants beyond the outskirts, in the rugged wilderness. And the towering remains of the ancient petrified trees are sentinels to the planet's geography. And there are plenty of smaller shrubbery and vegetation. But never anything of this hue. Who knows how long it will last, but for now, it is a local curiosity!
