It's kind of hard to believe, but that little branch of Fantasyland that spills out technically onto The Hub also known as Fantasy Faire opened a little over seven years ago! Previously the Carnation Plaza Gardens and home to Saturday night swing dances and famous bandstand bands playing back in the early days, Fantasy Faire is an extension of the whimsy and storybook architecture of Fantasyland. Featuring the Royal Theatre--home to minstrel-style vaudeville performances of
Tangled and
Beauty and the Beast, plus a miniature of Rapunzel's Tower and a Royal Princess meet-and-greet, Fantasy Faire packs a nice assortment of attractions into a tight area. But at the end of the night, it's a blissful serenity after everyone has left--particularly on a rainy evening, where reflections and glowing pavement add extra warmth and romance to the scene!
