Cuts by Kylo
I'd warn spoilers for today's post, but this scene has already been revealed in television ad spots for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. So really, Disney has already blown the lid here.
It's a shame, though, because the moment that Kylo Ren uses his blazing, red lightsaber to cut through the ceiling of the lift that Resistance recruits have holed themselves into is an exceptionally astounding and amazing moment. If you didn't see it coming, it would be a jaw-dropping, "HOW DID THEY DO THAT??" sequence. Truth be told, this is the only effect that I still can't entirely and assuredly figure out how Disney executed. I have an idea or two, but I can't be certain of them as much as I am of the other amazing effects littered throughout this incredible attraction.
At the very least, though, it makes for a super photogenic moment!
