The Ghostly Study
A cool factoid that I can boast is that I've ridden every Haunted Mansion in the world, from the new generation that doesn't even go by that name in the form of Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland to the traditional types at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disneyland. Of the later four, only two of them have a special Halloween and Christmas overlay, and they lie on opposite coasts of the same ocean. Yes, Disneyland Anaheim and Tokyo Disneyland both clad their beloved Haunted Mansions with a Nightmare Before Christmas version every fall, running through the winter holidays.
The Tokyo version is more akin to Walt Disney's World's Haunted Mansion, with a few plusses that set it off in a grander fashion than the original. One of those is the study at the beginning of the ride, where the following busts can be found. During the holidays, Zero has decorated this space in festive cheer, and it's pretty adorable to see what he's done with the place. It's great to see this how this transformation can yield such a spirited holiday ambiance!
