The Submarine and the Space Cannon
The way the major elements of Disneyland Paris' Discoveryland are placed feels very natural and organic, even when they are disparate elements that might not normally go together. Take the Nautilus submarine from Mystères du Nautilus, a walk-through attraction themed to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Space Mountain. They are literally opposite in terms of local. One is associated with the deep ocean. The other is associated with the cosmos. Below and above. They couldn't be more different.
Except that visual harmony is magically achieved with the retro-futuristic vibe of this themed land as a whole, which means a submarine and a space port can make a lot of sense situated next to each other!
