The ponds that flow through the Gardens of Imagination, at Shanghai Disneyland, carry a tranquil feel, providing multiple waterfront locations as well as spacing out views of the Enchanted Storybook Castle to provide less obstructed angles during nighttime shows and also strengthen the park-like feel of this central hub area. But they also have a bonus of yielding pretty reflections of Mickey Avenue when looked back upon. Although the tendency is to look forward toward the largest and tallest Disney castle ever created, the view backwards is pretty darn nice too. And even on a cloudy day, the serenity and beauty pervades.
