Looking Up in New Orleans

When you're in the parks well before the end of the night, and plenty of guests are still mingling around, and you don't want to use a tripod in the crowds to capture holiday night scenes, but you still want some crisp night shots, what do you do?  Well, if you're like me, you find lamp posts, columns, or walls, brace your camera while pointing it upward, and hold as still as you can while taking snapshots that avoid people's heads.  And you know what?  You can still come up with a few nice Christmas shots here and there!
