Lost in the River Delta
Out in the jungle, things can be mighty peaceful, especially at night along the water. --I mean, I know that things can be exactly the opposite of that in the jungle, but work with me...
In the still of the night, waters calmly lapping along the shore, the sounds of wildlife in the canopy all around, one can find serenity in a beautifully naturalistic scene. A monument towers in the distance, its evening purples and blues casting a calming effect. An outpost lies ahead up the river, a sign of the comforts of civilization. But here, near the cusp, still surrounded by verdant wilderness, things feel more raw and sublime. It's a beautiful night, and here on the delta, things just feel... right...
