When I
wrote about Tokyo Disneyland's Toontown last year, I noted how impressed I was at how well the park had maintained this area, especially compared to the original. Of course, this should be no surprise; the Japanese have exceptionally high standards for appearance and pride in upkeep. But still, it was impressive and lovely to see. It helped that when I was in Toontown, the park was undergoing a magnificent early winter golden hour, with that warm, flattering light casting at 2:30 in the afternoon, making everything look even better. But really, the area is quite nice, and the Christmas trimmings make it look even nicer.
