Paradise Blue II
I was digging through old unedited photos when I discovered this wistful scene taken late in 2013. This was during a period of time when Southern California had gotten some pretty dramatic skies on or after sunset. And with those skies came scenes that seemed to transport beholders to a faraway exotic place. Suddenly, Paradise Bay wasn't just a California beachfront--it could be an tropical island, or perhaps the East Coast. Certainly some place alluring, as evidenced by the sensuous blues that filled the scene.
At some point, I hope we get these skies again, and I'm somewhere scenic with my DSLR, ready to capture it.

A brilliant blue hour settles over Paradise Bay. |
