Fireworks Forever

It's the 4th of July, so you know what that means: FIREWORKS! FIREWORKS! FIREWORKS!  Yes, we as a nation love our fireworks, and we love celebrating our nation's birthday setting off fireworks, watching fireworks, or setting off then watching fireworks.  So of course, on this Independence Day, I'm posting a bunch of fireworks photos.

It's a Small World provides a great backdrop for the projections of the Disneyland Forever show.

These were taken over at the Small World viewing area for the Disneyland Forever fireworks.  Although this angle doesn't provide a full view of the show--since the castle area pyrotechnics are behind viewers, it's still a good place to catch the fireworks, and it doesn't really require a lot of camping out.  I showed up a little bit prior to the 8:50 Paint the Night parade, then ambled over to the railing between the Small World queue and parade route and set up my tripod with zero difficulty.  So for those who don't want to wait a long time, consider this a satisfactory alternative location for viewing Disneyland Forever! 

To give you an idea of the view, here are 15 additional photographs from my shoot a couple of evenings ago.

The Mickey burst is a little off center, but you can still make out the shape easily.

As you can see, most of the large bursts of the show are launched from behind Mickey's Toontown.

The facade of Small World makes a gorgeous canvas for the projections.

Tangled paints a lovely lattice in the sky.

The Lion King segment bursts with great fanfare.

Not quite as cool when Mount Wannahockaloogie (aka the Matterhorn) isn't in the frame, but still pretty!
