I've taken
photos of this scene before, but this secluded back way around Grizzly Peak always seems to draw my interest. Maybe it's the sense of calm amidst a wild whitewater rafting environment. Maybe it's the classic look of the park service truck. Maybe it's the way the trees part just so to reveal a scene of activity at Grizzly River Run beyond. But I always feel calm, collected, and cheerful whenever I pass through here. That rustic feel brings me back to my childhood days, when the great outdoors was a great wonder and mystery, and every turn of the trail brought forth more adventure. Ah, to have the excitable spirit of childhood!
