Summer Sunset by the Pier
Oh, those long summer days, when sunlight is in abundance, and staying out later doesn't really feel later because the skies are still alit. It means more hours of daylight for me, since I'm not an early bird at all.
The other day, I was strolling through Paradise Pier and looking for unique vantagepoints I hadn't captured before. Strolling under the big entrance sign, I noticed the sun gleaming out the corner of my eye, and after pacing through several positions, I settled on this view to capture that blazing golden afternoon light. This scene echoes the spirit of those fun summer days at the fair. There's a great nostalgia to the scene. The hustle and bustle of the beach mixed with an air of relaxation is just wonderful. Don't you agree?
