I took this shot on Saturday night, closing out the park for the first time in a while, and had plans on describing the technical aspects and behind-the-scenes. But then I stumbled upon this
fantastic article by Tom Bricker of Disney Tourist Blog that explains the creative uses of using a telephoto lens. And, well, this describes things better than I could in a short blog post. The short version: the same scene shot on different lenses and focal lengths can produce drastically different feeling compositions, which is fun way of expressing different moods in a scene. That said, I think this might be one of my favorite shots of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and I hope you enjoy it too!
