The Enchanted Tiki Room is home to some of the first audio-animatronics ever developed. Opened in 1963, the Tiki Room was originally envisioned as a special dine-in restaurant where the audio-animatronic birds would serenade guests as they ate. Eventually, though, the decision was made to turn it into more of an attraction, and the result was an immediate hit. Audiences had never seen these robotic creatures that so convincingly (at the time) imitated real animals, and the popularity of the Hawaiian theme at the time translated to large crowds. No surprise then, that this has since become a classic Disneyland attraction. The Enchanted Tiki Room... where the
