A couple of months ago, the French Market, in New Orleans Square, updated their menu with some revised offerings. Among them are two new sourdough bread bowls--great, filling meals, especially on a cool day. I've had the chance to try them, and I can say that they're mighty tasty. Do they compare to the tried and true clam chowder favorite? Hard to say--it's more of a preference issue based on the ingredients. But I don't think you'll be disappointed ordering either new bread bowl!

The Slow Roasted Lousiana Beef is flavorful and full of tender meat and hearty peas and potatoes. |

The Corn Chowder is exceptionally corn-y, and I actually would liked more chowder. But it's sweet and delicious! |
