Back in the Bayou

I've always felt the setting of Pirates of the Caribbean, just beyond Lafitte's Landing, was a rather nostalgic and evocative one.  The still peacefulness of the water in the twilight air, with fireflies spinning about while crickets chirp and frogs croak beckons a magical serenity full of Cajun flavor.  Floating along, in that moment before they dive down a pair of waterfalls and into swashbuckling adventure, riders are transported to the subtle beauty of the bayou, where worries seem to waft away, and the strum of the banjo provides a soothing serenade.  It's an experience that never seems to get old.

A trip back to the backwoods of Louisiana inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
